BLACKBERRY FAIR, WHITCHURCH

Blackberry Fair was great fun and the Roland digital melodeon was truly awesome. Battery operated and with a battery operated Roland amp I just strolled up plugged in and started to play-could be heard at the top of the High Street from playing outside the Civic Centre!

Catch up with Ray performing at Blackberry Fair in Whitchurch on Saturday October 1st. 10.00 outside the Civic Centre, 11.00 on the Civic Centre stage, 12.00 in the Market Hall and 1.00 in the Bullring-might be the first outing of the mighty Roland FR-18!

2011 Just got back home after an absolutely brilliant summer of festivals-WOMAD, SIDMOUTH, DARTMOOR and TOWERSEY now time to dry everything out, clean the van ready for SKIPTON PUPPET FESTIVAL and BEDWORTH plus lots of other gigs in the pipeline.

SQUEEZING SHROPSHIRE'S  second workshop day (Sat July 2nd) Featuring Ray Langton, Brian peters, Katie Howson, Pete Coe and Simon Care. Was a huge success with tremendous feedback from those who attended. The CUCKOO ALE BAND is busy as ever with a few spaces still in early 2011. Ray has space for solo performance and workshops in the Spring and Summer and will doubtless be appearing at more events throughout the year.

WALKING NEWS? The achilles tendon is now fine and plans are afoot for tackling the Coast to Coast walk later in the year to celebrate a significant birthday!

Well 2010 saw many festivals attended including a first visit to LARMER TREE festival where the Mini Melodeon workshops for adults where house full on both occasions and a return visit to WHITBY where the Mini Melodeon workshops turned into a mixed adult and young people event as the rain poured down trapping the adults so that they couldn't escape! However everyone thoroughly enjoyed the session and many bought Mini Melodeons and books to carry on playing at home. A quick visit to SIDMOUTH and the usual mega children's festival at TOWERSEY as well as a host of other events and festivals meant a packed and exciting year.
